Fliege, Klaus

Klaus Fliege was born on December 6, 1957. He studied Communication Design at the Fachhochschule Augsburg  and received a Diploma degree  as „Diplom-Designer (FH)“ in 1984. First he worked for a company as designer but later decided to work as a freelance designer and artist. Meanwhile he has set up his own company.

Klaus Fliege´s art  focuses on the topic of love in its great varieties and the never ending ways, this theme can unfold in art. Art for him is a means to express feelings and thoughts, which can make other people move. It is a challenge for the artist Klaus Fliege to portray his own views in a love for patience and detail.  To a certain extent this reflects a longing for perfection in a world, which is characterized by the freedom of choice and plurality and which offers the opportunity to re-create oneself in the process of creation again and again. The intensity of expression which confronts the viewers of Fliege´s paintings are supposed to draw the audience closer into the image while simultaneously distancing the viewers from the artificiality of the image. Thus besides being an optical challenge the artworks encourage further discussions and reflections, a fact, which gives the works a value besides the mere visual representational value.

The artist Klaus Fliege has had various exhibitions in Germany and after 2015 has been represented by LDXArtodrome Gallery.
