ke-t-art stands for artist Kerstin Emrich-Thomas. She was born on 12 April 1965 in Frankfurt a.M. She first studied History of Art and Art Pedagogy at the Goethe-University Frankfurt. Her studies were followed by an academic training as a goldsmith at the Hanau State Drawing Academy. In addition to her professional activity, she also continued to educate herself in painting. Since 2010, she has been working exclusively as a freelance artist. She lives and works in Munich.

ke-t-art´s mostly large-format works in acrylic on canvas can be seen as strong contemporary landmarks of the young, trendy pop culture. They reflect the colorful, media-oriented lifestyle of a generation that is always agile, fashion-conscious and constantly focused on the social media. Her paintings catch their features with great competence and freeze them artistically on the surface. Almost naturally, her typified portraits are equipped with the necessary accessories such as cell phones and depicted in their famous casual or cool postures.
ke-t-art draws her inspirations for final works from her own sketch books or from the abundance of images available in the media. Her emphasis on the young, lively transcultural scene is supported by her dynamic painting style. She achieves movement by pouring colours, creating colour overlays as well as by contrasting colour-clusters in a playful manner.

In recent years, ke-t-art has been shown in many exhibitions in Germany. ke-t-art has been represented internationally by LDXArtodrome since 2020.
