Gaby Kutz was born in Nettesheim/Neuss ( Germany) in 1962. She is a freelance artist and author. She studied Fine Arts (Painting) between 1988-1994 at the famous Art Academy of Düsseldorf graduating with Prof. Michael Buthe as “Master Student” (Meisterschülerin) in 1994.
Her works in oil on canvas are usually based on photography from journals or magazines which show some political import. Her unique style captures individuals who have contributed to democratic development in states and who have influenced politics by showing a high engagement for peace and freedom. Her main focus lies on the time between 1950 and today. Her paintings will memorize those contributions in an unforgettable way. She sometimes also discusses private and public life as dichotomies of our times.
Gaby Kutz develops her ideas in four different cycles: (1) Elites, politicians and freethinkers (1960-today) (2) Resistance! Consequences of political decisions (1968-today) (3) Contemplation. Exceptionional situations in Europe (4) Private life in Germany.
Gaby Kutz has participated in numerous exhibitions. She is represented by LDXArtodrome Gallery internationally.
