Nadja Meffert was born on 10th December 1969 in Mainz/Germany. After 2007, she attended evening classes of Fine Arts at the Art Academy Offenburg. Between 2011 and 2013, she studied colour painting at the Art Academy Bad Reichenhall with Prof. Jerry Zeniuk. Afterwards she became master student of Prof. Jerry Zeniuk, Bad Reichenhall. She lives and works as freelance artist at Lahr in the Black Forest.
For Nadja Meffert, the ”art of right seeing“ is a central idea in her art. The “right” way of seeing in the creative process leads her to an interact with colours, space, brush strokes, proportions and intensity. She is in a constant dialogue with herself and her intriguing compositions, as if she were involved in a learning process between action and reaction without set scheme. Even though the viewers are denied to watch this artistic process in most cases, the artist manages to encourages the viewers to use their own “faculty of seeing” in order to fully grasp the richness of her paintings which make them understand the essence of the artistic dialogue as the true creative powers.
Nadja Meffert has exhibited her works for many years in the German speaking countries and she is represented by LDXArtodrome Gallery worldwide.
