Mürner, Bettina

Bettina Mürner was born on 12 May 1983 in Frauenfeld (Switzerland). She first completed an apprenticeship as a decoration designer and then studied Fine Art at the ZhdK Zurich (Switzerland). She completed her B.A. studies in 2008 after spending one semester abroad in Helsinki. 2008-2009 she attended the Edinburgh College of Art (Scotland). Since 2005 she regularly participates in exhibitions.

Bettina Mürner focuses on the landscape, preferably on large canvases in oil. Her landscapes are reduced to a minimum of colors and details, therefore spreading some grandeur of sublimity and empty vastness. However, the artist achieves a maximum of silence and serenity. The viewer is sensitized to the greatness of nature, to its quiet, powerful beauty. Mürner’s pictures cause real pleasure, because this meditative image situation embraces the viewers and invites them to become one with nature in thought.

Bettina Mürner has been represented by LDXArtodrome since 2019.
