The motto: “The way is the goal” contains a basic attitude to life for Silvia Uster: This produces also the decisive motivation for all artistic creative processes. Creativity constantly challenges its creator and keeps him alive in a positive sense. While being immersed in the process of producing, joy automatically arises from experimenting with the material and the environment. The special perception of things of the watchful, artistic eye and the balancing of forms, lines and colour spaces are not only a means to an end for her, but ends in themselves. Seen in this light, her paintings, whether abstract or figurative or both together, are offers to observing explorers to re-trace this creative process. Silvia Uster takes her motifs from nature, childhood, her present life or her imagination.

The resulting creative variations are both “dialects” of her original motifs and ways of establishing connections and communication with everything and everyone.

Silvia Uster has participated in numerous exhibitions. She has been represented internationally by LDXArtodrome Gallery since 2023.
